Hobby Car Corvettes has 60+ Corvette Stingrays for sale from our Pennsylvania showroom. C3 Stingrays (1969–1976), big blocks, convertibles, T-tops, and 4-speeds. Prices start around $8,000 for a project car and run to $40,000+ for matching-numbers big block convertibles. The Stingray badge first appeared in 1963 with the C2 Corvettes. GM carried the Stingray advertising with the release of the C3 Corvette in 1968 but without a actual emblem. In 1969 GM changed to Stingray and installed an emblem on the front fenders. This emblem ran through 1976, but the body style continued through 1982. We stock Corvettes from every year in the C3 group. If you see something below, call (814) 937-4941 before it’s gone. People often think the Stingray is a separate model from the Corvette. It’s not. The Stingray name is a badge and body style, not a trim level or a performance package. Any Corvette wearing that badge, whether it left the factory with a 250-horsepower base engine or a 435-horsepower L71 big block, is a Stingray, as long as it falls within the 1968–1976 model years.
That said, Stingray-era Corvettes share a design language you can spot from a distance. The sculpted fender lines, the pinched waist, the long hood and short deck. Those proportions came directly from Bill Mitchell’s 1959 Stingray Racer concept, which itself borrowed its shape from the manta ray. That DNA runs through every C2 and C3 Corvette, even the ones that didn’t get the badge. Read the full backstory in our post on the evolution of the Corvette Stingray.
If you’re shopping for a Stingray, the first decision is generation.
We photograph and document what we have done to the Corvettes in our inventory. Our website listings include extensive photos and videos of each car accompanied by the car’s details once it has gone through our shop.
Want a deeper breakdown of what to look for and what each year brings to the table? We put together a C3 Corvette Stingray buyer’s guide that covers pricing, specs, and year-by-year differences.
We’re not a general used car lot that happens to have a Corvette or two on the corner of the lot. We stock 70+ classic C3 Corvettes at all times, and the Stingray models are our bread and butter. We know these cars inside and out, and we’ll give you our opinion on the overall condition on in stock inventory.
